Hellbat Creature Design

This was a very early creature model I created that is not optimized for game design, but I just really love the design of this creature.

The Hellbat creature design was inspired by chameleon, bat, pterodactyls, porcupines, flying squirrels, dinosaurs, and dragons. This beast lives in caves and hunts in packs to devour small animals, rodents, and occasional children. They are darker on the under bodies to camouflage with the night sky and a bright red to match where they came from. Long sharp teeth, claws, and spines used to attack prey. The two tails and extra wings aid in its speed when it pursuits its prey.

We were tasked with creating a beast that could be utilized in film, tv, books, and games by combining certain attributes that we picked at random.

My Attributes:

Gliding, Speed (Pursuit), Spines/Quills, Electrical Discharge, Venom, and Camouflage/mimicry

The Yaramayawho is said to live in fig trees and resemble a frog-man with red skin, a very big head, large mouth, with no teeth, and suckers on the ends of its hands and feet. Instead of hunting for food, it waits for unsuspecting travelers to rest underneath the tree. A third of my triptych for my Senior Thesis.

Now Available on Steam, Gobbo's Gambit is a stealth action game about a sentient NPC that decides he no longer wants to perform his minion duties. He must think with his mind as he navigates the treacherous dungeon he once guarded. I worked as a 3D Artist and created a Goblin Column, a Breakable Mosaic Window, and a Lantern Fixture.

Yennefer in Fortnite

This project features a crossover of Yennefer of Vengerberg from Netflix's "Witcher" series and "The Witcher: Wild Hunt" by CD Projekt Red, adopting the style of Epic Games' "Fortnite." This fan-made model, inspired by the actress from the Witcher Netflix series and the main outfit from Witcher 3, was created using ZBrush for modeling, Adobe Substance Painter for texturing and rendering, Maya for posing, and Photoshop for compositing. The model's appeal was evident when my younger siblings expressed their desire to play this character in Fortnite. Update: Yennefer is now in Fortnite as of June 2023.

MiniGameJam 2022

Participated in a 72 hour game jam over the Halloween Weekend where we created a Unity game about Vampires. The premise of the game was COD: Zombies meets Vampires in a Japanese forest. Due to the limitation being added that "Blood is lethal" has to be a mechanic, we decided that the main character is a Dhampir (child of a vampire and human) that has the supernatural abilities of a Vampire, but is a day-walker. Dhampir blood, according to legend, is lethal to Vampires which is why part of the game mechanic was Blood Bombs and a Blood Sword.

Midnight Harvest - Ludum Dare Game Jam

First GameJam of the year! I worked with a small team as a 3D Artist to make this game called Harvest Moon in 72 hours. It's a quirky shooting game where you defend your crops from the hordes of enemies. You can then harvest your plants for ammo in your gun. My favorite part that I worked on was the gun below. I made two different organic alien/plant weapons.

Pemagort Monster

3D interpretation of Bobby Rebholz "Pemagort" Alien Creature Design. Created in Pixologic's Zbrush and rendered in Substance Painter.

Mogwai are demons that inflict harm on humans and are native to China. They can determine fates of death and desire that tether people to an unending cycle of reincarnation and suffering. A third of my triptych for my Senior Thesis.

This Gorillaz styled character was modeled in Zbrush, painted and rendered in Adobe Substance Painter, and composited in Photoshop. Based off the work of Patri Balanovsky. High Res Character has 10K Polys and Low Poly Character has 2.5k Polys.

The Wendigo is an Algonquian Native American Legend described as a monster spirit who has possessed a human being and made them become monstrous. The first Wendigo was a lost hunter when during a brutally cold winter, his hunger drove him to cannibalism. A third of my triptych for my Senior Thesis.
